NAC was created to serve English language learners living in the United States, as well as international students with F1 visas. NAC specializes in helping these students learn and advance their English language skills. International students have the opportunity to experience American Culture at New America College. English Language Acquisition Programs

Registration for all programs has begun at New America College.
The enrollment period is for one month.

2015 – 2016 Academic Year

Start dates for the 2015 – 2016 academic year are as follows:

Classes are held in the morning and evening. The class schedule is as follows:

Morning – 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Evening – 5:00 – 9:30 p.m.

Part Time Courses

American Culture and Conversation
There are two available times for this course. You can register for either a 10-week (60 hours) course or a 12-week (72 hours) course.
1. Tuesday and Thursday evenings – 6:00 – 9:00
2. Saturday – 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

English for Healthcare

English for Healthcare is a certificate program offered Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The curriculum consists of four modules that deal with effective communication tools for healthcare professionals and students. A module takes four weeks to complete (24 hours total). Modules can be taken in any order. A certificate will be granted for each module.

Attendance: If you miss 25% of the course (two classes) you will have to repeat the course in order to be granted a certificate.

Requirements: A High School Diploma, an Intermediate level of proficiency in English.
